This LAB makes possible in a short time to provide teachers with relevant information about:

  • What entrepreneurship education is/means
  • The importance of improving entrepreneurship education into classroom practices
  • Why entrepreneurship education is a driver of an innovative and distruptive education

At the same time, the LAB gives them the possibility to learn and practice methods and tools to introduce to introduce Entrepreneurship Education into the classroom. The format of the LAB suits teachers of all subjects.

  • To maximise students motivation to stay at school and make them understanding the importance of investing in education training to be more entrepreneurial.

Teachers from primary to secondary school (general as well as vocational) of all the subjects.

Implementation Method

The implementation of the LAB needs to be done by one of the HUB schools in collaboration with JA. The LAB can take place at the HUB school hosting it and teachers need to be invited. The invitation can be made in 2 different ways: formal communication to all the schools and/or electronic newsletter and social media (e.g. Facebook and special channels with teachers as target).

Teacherpreneur

Teacherpreneur is a 6 hours LAB to “learn and practice” entrepreneurship education. The LAB is divided into 2 sessions:

  1. A plenary session dedicated to the “basic information” about entrepreneurship education (key competence, national and European policy, best practices and successful projects, possible certifications, etc.).
  2. Parallel Workshops where teachers are divided in small team of 8/10 people and involved in practical activities where they have the opportunity to use entrepreneurial tools and methods. Those activities are about creativity (for instance by using the Creative Cards), decision making (by using Mental Maps), business models (such as canvas, elevator pitch, etc.), the use of Information and Communication Technologies to implement and manage entrepreneurship education projects, problem solving (by using for example Dragon Fire).

Some of the tools and methods used in the LAB are shared and available in the Virtual Guide to Entrepreneurship Education.

Additional information: the Teacherpreneur format was developed by JA Italy. On Facebook there is a closed group called Teacherpreneur with 72 Italian teachers subscribed out of the 380 who participated in the LAB. The LAB can be organized everywhere and it can be adapted to the local needs. Teachers get a certificate after the training. More information (in Italian) available HERE.
